Will Freeman took on the Aspray (Birmingham Central) Franchise at the beginning of 2017 and has a strong and abiding belief that policyholders need to be properly represented in the claims process. His background is in Financial Services and latterly in the property world, both at home and overseas. Will has always worked in client facing roles and prides himself on a very high level of client empathy and a desire to make sure the client is always treated fairly and is satisfied with the service he provides.
Even in the relatively short time Will has been an Appointed Representative of Aspray, he has quickly learned that the process of a successful claim is communicating regularly with each party; the policyholder, insurer/loss adjuster and the contractors. The policyholder is of course paramount, however, in order to ensure the property is returned to its pre-loss condition, Will knows it is important that the insurance company, Loss Adjuster and the contractors engaged on the claim, all need to be coordinated and managed by Will, for the work to be completed successfully.
Will has already built up a panel of trusted contractors, many of which are recommended through his extensive networking contacts. Will understands and impresses on his contractors that when they are working in a policyholder’s house or business, that their property is of vital importance to them. Will manages the contractors and aims to complete the reinstatement works to a high standard.
In Will’s experience insurance companies do not always prioritise the policyholder’s best interests, whereas as the project manager, Will always works in the best interests of the policyholder. He has experienced several situations where his intervention has made a positive material difference to the outcome of a claim.
Will’s guiding principle is that the size of the claim does not matter and understands that where people live and work is important to them and therefore aims to give them the best service every time.

A loss assessor works in the best interests of the policyholder. Sometimes known as a public loss adjuster, a loss assessor manages property damage insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder, working towards achieving a fair settlement from the insurance company.
