Sati Shekhon is a LLB (Hons) and LPC graduate with 15+ years of experience in the property sector, specialising in conveyancing, project management and insurance claims. She joined the Aspray network in 2012 and has a broad experience in loss assessing/claims management, having successfully represented customers in the property claims process.
She is a strong communicator and skilled at negotiating claims and ensuring the customer receives a fair settlement.
She has a passion for customer service and ensuring clients are treated fairly in accordance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) principles. Sati regards the customer relationship as paramount, when dealing with claims, her aim is to have a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving, whilst remaining honest, so that she can effectively manage the customer’s expectations and maintain that customer care relationship.
Her role is crucial in the claims management process. Once a claim settlement has been authorised by the Insurance Company, it is solely her responsibility to put all the required people in place, agree project timescales and deadlines. This requires good leadership skills and the ability to multi-task. She always aims to make an effective contribution to projects from conception through to completion. She maintains regular contact with project staff, contractors and suppliers and ensures there is always clear communication in relation to required goals, responsibility, standards of performance and expectations.
She works with local trusted tradesman who are always instructed to treat the customers home like their own. She attends local business and property networking events to promote the Aspray service and build on strong working relationships with Property Managers, Letting Agents, Landlords, Insurance Brokers and Tradespeople to secure and refer work.
She is a member of Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) & Charted Insurance Institute (CII) and utilises the Broker Assess portal for her continuing professional development and to keep up to date with changes in the industry.
During her time with Aspray she has been a finalist for the Special Recognition Award at the Aspray Annual Conference 2014 and Long-Term Achievement Award in 2016.

A loss assessor works in the best interests of the policyholder. Sometimes known as a public loss adjuster, a loss assessor manages property damage insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder, working towards achieving a fair settlement from the insurance company.
