In 1990 together with my father, I worked within, and help run, my family building business in London. This involved starting as an apprentice, gaining valuable experience and being taught by my father on numerous period houses and projects within the London area. I acquired my qualifications through North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT College) in Surrey as well as attending night school and further education courses. This included obtaining numerous qualifications in bricklaying, plastering, tiling, decorating, carpentry, and qualifying to become a Member of the Institute of Carpenters (MIOC).
After the family moved down from London to Dorset in 1996, I worked as a senior manager on various projects, gaining qualifications in management, leadership and health and safety such as MIOC, GCGI, AMInstLM, IOSH, NEBOSH.
During my time as a builder, I have bought and sold many properties, gaining and drawing from experience along the way. In recent years, I returned to being self-employed as a builder renovating houses in the local area, working in the private and commercial sector including building maintenance, roofing, extensions, kitchen and bathroom fitting and insurance work.
In 2016 I decided to put all my experience, management skills, expertise and knowledge of how building are designed and repaired to a better use and became part of the Aspray network, operating the Aspray (Bournemouth) territory. As I live locally within the BH post code area, I am able to respond and get to any claim in a fast and timely manner and using my building industry knowledge and experience across all of the building trades, I always aim to negotiate a fair settlement on behalf of my clients, including completing all the restoration and repair works as swiftly as possible.

A loss assessor works in the best interests of the policyholder. Sometimes known as a public loss adjuster, a loss assessor manages property damage insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder, working towards achieving a fair settlement from the insurance company.
