The Aspray Limited team is celebrating a shortlisting in the National Landlord Investment Show (LIS) Awards, which reward and showcase the excellence of businesses providing services to the private rented sector.
Our shortlisting recognises the added-value we provide to landlords who suffer some form of property damage, which can result from a variety of causes such as flooding, an escape of water, fire, vandalism, tenant damage, or other impacts caused by external forces such as vehicles.
Aspray’s role in this market is to step in and assist insured landlords needing to claim on their property insurance policy. In addition to hearing from landlords directly at point of claim, we are typically introduced to the landlord by a third party such as a property and letting agent or an insurance broker – intermediaries who all recognise that by recommending Aspray, they can improve their client satisfaction rates. They have total confidence that their client is safe in our hands.
The Aspray head office team, and those out in the field, know only too well that the time of a property claim can be a distressing one for both landlord and tenant. A call to an insurer’s claims’ reporting number will trigger the involvement of the insurer’s loss adjuster. Their aim is to minimise the cost of the claim for the insurer they represent – something at odds with the interests of the insurance policyholder (the landlord or property owner) and their tenants, if the property is rented.
As soon as a professional Aspray loss assessor starts to represent the insured, they gain a voice in negotiations and one that seeks to convey their contractual rights, as laid out in their insurance policy’s small-print. We always strive to gain the insured the full entitlement from their policy, so our service is a hugely attractive one for a landlord to take up, particularly as it costs them nothing, if they work with our approved contractors for the property reinstatement.
Aspray’s shortlisting in the LIS Awards 2018 is also down to our dedication to customer service. We have a Treating Customers Fairly ethos, which is wholly customer-centric, and the reason why we generate compelling testimonials.
Aspray director, Andrea Loasby, who was earlier this year named a ‘Woman of Influence’ in the insurance sector, says: “Aspray helps protect landlords’ rental income by pushing to have their property reinstated to its pre-loss condition. We work with landlords nationwide, who sincerely value the service we provide, because they appreciate that without our input their claim has a higher chance of being repudiated. If they cannot make their own case effectively, they might also have to accept a settlement that leaves them short-changed.
“The LIS Awards judges have recognised the importance of our role, the value of the service we provide and the massive effort that goes into our customer service programme.”
Aspray will now be heading to the gala awards evening at The Grosvenor Hotel, London, on November 15, at which LIS Award winners will be announced. In the meantime, we shall carry on passionately representing private and commercial property owners, as well as landlords who need to claim on their property insurance policy.
