Our loss assessors and property damage insurance claims management team are celebrating the fact that Andrea Loasby, a director here at Aspray Limited, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Women in Insurance Awards for the second consecutive year.
Andrea is shortlisted for the ‘Award for Mentor of the Year’, in an award scheme that, in the words of the publication Insurance Business, which supports these awards, “inspires the women who make insurance great.”
Shortlisted – Flying the Flag for Loss Assessors
A quick glance down the list of nominees in each category of these awards shows that Andrea is the only representative of the loss assessing sector amongst the women shortlisted. This is a phenomenal achievement, particularly because the organisers say they were “inundated with nominations.”
Andrea will rub shoulders with women from some of Britain’s biggest insurance companies – insurance professionals from right across the UK – as she flies the flag for loss assessing and property damage insurance claims management.
In her ‘Mentor of the Year’ category, she will compete with eight other finalists, for a fiercely contested award. Those shortlisted have been selected by a prestigious panel of judges, making Andrea’s achievement even more significant.
The awards ceremony for the Women in Insurance Awards is being staged at the Tower Hotel, London, on October 10. This will be part of the Insurance Business Women in Insurance Summit that will be this year focusing on how to develop the leadership style of women in the insurance sector and also attain higher levels of diversity and inclusion.
Andrea says: “I am extremely proud to be recognised by the ‘Women in Insurance’ judges for the second consecutive year, ensuring that loss assessing has representation. To be recognised for mentoring, having been deemed a ‘Woman of Influence’ last year, is truly rewarding.
“I always strive to be an inspiring mentor to those members of our team who need support, advice and guidance, so to have my skills as a mentor endorsed is very special.”
