What is the Cost?

Unlike some Loss Assessors, we can manage the whole claim right through to completion and our loss assessing service is *free to the policyholder, providing we can use our vetted contractors to carry out the reinstatement works. However, any excess stated within the policy will still apply and is payable by you, the policyholder.

If you are a VAT registered company or individual, please be aware you are responsible for paying the VAT of the settlement, however, you can claim this from HMRC on your next VAT return.

What is the difference between a Loss Assessor and a Loss Adjuster?

Aspray Loss Assessor with speech

A Loss Assessor works in the best interests of the policyholder.
Sometimes known as a public Loss Adjuster, a Loss Assessor manages property damage insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder, working towards achieving a fair settlement from the insurance company.

Loss Assessor works on behalf of the insurer

A Loss Adjuster is appointed on behalf of the insurance company.
When instructed by an insurance company, a Loss Adjuster will assess the damage to your property and, if they deem the damage liable under your insurance policy, will work with your insurance company to provide settlement figure.

Damage assessment
Your local loss assessor will put together a schedule of works following an inspection of the damage at your property.
