Who Are Aspray?
Aspray was founded in 2005 by Managing Director, James Whittle, with a passion to create a solution-driven service dedicated to helping policyholders make successful building insurance claims.
Today, Aspray offers policyholders an unparalleled wealth of expertise and experience. We pride ourselves on providing a high-quality but straightforward, best in class service and have built our business on a formidable reputation for being knowledgeable, professional, and following through on our commitments.






As specialists, not generalists, our entire focus is buildings insurance and property reinstatement; we know precisely how to manage your claim, from dealing directly with your insurance company to project managing the contractors, we can take care of it all.
Our award-winning service is available to every policyholder in the UK. *There is no charge for the loss assessing service provided we instruct and oversee the vetted contractors who will complete the reinstatement works, however, any applicable excess stated in the policy will still be payable by you, the policyholder.

As we have significantly grown over the years, we moved to larger offices and now have our head office in Darwen, Lancashire. This is where the senior leadership, support team and qualified claims handling teams are based.

We have over 50 Loss Assessors working in the field supported by our team of Claims Handlers and expert managers. The claims team have an in-depth understanding of the principles of property damage insurance claims, and each holds a Chartered Institute of Loss Adjuster certification (Cert CILA) and a Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) or are working towards these qualifications.
All of our Loss Assessors undertake training accredited by the British Damage Management Association (BDMA), a highly respected professional body within the damage management industry.

The Fire Fighters Charity
Over the years, we have seen countless homes and businesses destroyed by fire. For this reason, Aspray is a corporate sponsor of The Fire Fighters Charity and has worked hard raising funds through multiple fundraising activities and events, such as raffles, skydives and even the London Marathon.
There is a wealth of strength and resilience that goes into being a Firefighter, as some of our team found out when taking part in a charity Firefighters experience day. Testing their fitness to the max the day saw them undertaking relay races with hose pipes, crawling through tight “confined spaces,” and tackling blazes.
The Fire Fighters Charity exist to support the mental, physical, and social needs of all serving and retired members of the fire service, and we are proud to raise money for this much-needed cause.
“Every year we help over 5,000 members of the UK’s fire services community to access vital mental health, physical health and social support. We are almost exclusively funded through the generosity of our donors, so every penny of the funds you have raised will change someone’s life, whether allowing them to talk to a psychological therapist, to receive specialist physical rehabilitation, support in their own home or a helping hand in their local community. Offsetting our Carbon Footprint…
We’re Working on it!
At Aspray, we understand that everything we do impacts the environment and appreciate that there is still much to be done to improve sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint.
As a step towards offsetting the carbon footprint created by Aspray, our Managing Director, James, has spent much of his lockdown time planting almost a thousand trees in Lancashire.
A welcome sight for wildlife, trees remove carbon dioxide while releasing oxygen back into the air. In keeping with Aspray, trees also prevent flooding and soil erosion by absorbing thousands of litres of stormwater.
